About the ride:

The ride will begin at tokyobike in Shoreditch from where we’ll cycle up to the Regents Canal and continue along the towpath towards Victoria Park. We’ll carry on to Hackney Marshes where we’ll stop to prepare and sample some food and drink made with the produce we’ve foraged, before returning to the shop.

Some examples of what we may find along the way include:

Regents Canal – rosehips, blackberries, pineapple weed, chickweed, horseradish, meadowsweet, yarrow, wild fennel, alexander seeds.

Victoria Park – hazelnuts, dandelion, bittercress, douglas fir, rowan berries, staghorn sumac.

Hackney Marshes – meadowsweet, fig leaves, tansy, nettle seeds, mugwort, crabapple, mallow, fat hen, elderberries, hogweed seeds, gorse flower.
